Ok, this is ridiculously slow ... Notice at 1:34 the dude walking at about the same speed with the bus thingy. What is the point of this?
In Asia HP has been selling the dv3000 which is pretty much the same thing except with a T8100 processor, NVIDIA 8400m GT. Oh and the color was silver. From what i can see on those photos the track pad will be the same - that is the biggest problem with this laptop, it simply sucks. Also expect the laptop to be smudge-free for exactly 0.01 seconds. Other than that I am pretty satisfied - it is fairly portable, it has the power to do what i need and was cheap (when i bought it last year it was around $1000, and its not the base model)!
Yeah, i don't know how heavy that Gateway is (in my experience, they are pretty heavy) but if the hanger is the only thing that holds the lappie - i'd say it's structurally unsound. One little blow and laptop is down, pulling along with it any media you may have hooked up to it (preferably a >500GB hard disk while it's actively reading or writing). I am not doing this with my Inspiron 1720 ... that big ole fat monster. And what the hell are they making hangers from in China? Industrial steel?
Are you insane? Why would Apple be hurting their sales? Because they are more affordable? Don't be stupid - not everyone has $2000 to spend on a handicapped laptop that can cut a cake. Dell has their market share which in no way overlaps with Apple - budget laptops/pcs.
Wow, I stand corrected. I could have sworn it was Logitech ... but no, it is indeed Logicool ... wow, I feel like someone just messed with my head.
Not really, all Logitech products like keyboards and mice are so branded in Yodobashi and BigCamara.
The phrase is from "Good Will Hunting" - personally one of my favorites. Matt Damon is the one who says the line.
Yeah, I love his target market - Mcdonald's dishwashers hehehe
It's not true - japanese people pronounce it "furai" since the closest thing to an "f" is a "fu" hehe. plus their "fu" is something between a "fu" and a "hu".
You think this is a bad video - you must see their TV shows. 65% of all TV shows are about food during most of the show ... the other 35% are TV shows showing people and local celebs bullshit (and behave like 15 year olds) and then eat the food they will be talking about for the rest of the show ... it is ridiculous.
Wow! Free stuff. Thank you Engadget!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
