My experience is that notes taken on paper is absolutely useless when i look at them later. A laptops makes it all readable, especially because i can write 3-4 times faster by using a keyboard. It is a huuuge advantage, and it's not my problem that someone is surfing the internet. As long as they aren't disturbing anyone else it's their own problem, not the professors. When i look around in the classroom at people who are writing with a pencil, it amazes me how much attension they put into just getting the stuff down. But when i write notes on a laptop (and not even looking at the screen) it's much easier to absorb whats really going on.
21: I couldn't agree more... allofmp3 is so perfect - great prices, great quality, lots of formats and is semi-legal. Thats good enough for me. I don't to give a lot of money for this infected DRM shit. Music is reaaally overpriced.
#1: They look like at cheap copy of Bang&Olufsens portable headphones (http://www.playlist.com.au/images/A8-earphones.gif) But thats fine, it's a great way to design those headphones, especially for sports.

#3: It depends A LOT on how you are going to use them. I absolutely love in ear canal phones when i am in noisy enviorments (trains for instance). You are able to lock everything else out but music, it's great for relaxing. But if you have to take them in and out all the time it's a hell.
It's stupid to make an MP3 player cubic. I've had the mobiblu and it is TERRIBLE in the pocket of a pair of jeans. It definetely doesn't feel like one of the smallest mp3 player. I don't like the whole concept of "as long as it's different, we do not care about useability". AN MP3 PLAYER NEEDS TO BE FLAT.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
