I h8 this stupid point crap. It's just a way for them to disguise their overpriced crap. Over $15 for an Xbox original download that you can pick up used for half the price or brand new for about the same. And you can hold it in your hand. DLC will never be what the M$ thinks it will be. Never.

You can rent an HD-PPV for 6.99 with Shaw, and if you have HD, you probably have a PVR(Personal Video Recorder). So you can permanently own an HD movie on your box, for less than a rental. I work for Shaw, so it's actually half price for me, but regardless, it's a no brainer. I now refuse to purchase ANYthing through XBL, exception maybe being new COD4 maps. Cause that game is worth it. Heroic map pack? Who GAF?

If Halo wasn't being shoved down our throats, there is no way there would be a million preorders. There are a lot of hardcore fans. But not that many. I've always thought it was an okay game, but definitely overrated and despite that fact I was somehow scammed into a preorder as well courtesy of one of my hardcore buddies. Anything this heavily marketed is almost certainly bound for great success, regardless of quality. Halo=meh

Word of mouth goes a long way. Casual video gamers I know are very much aware of the RROD and when people discuss their major purchases, as most people do, the RROD inevitably comes up every time. M$ is on very thin ice right now and I hope that they are able to remedy this problem quickly, or post-Christmas could be a disaster.
