BlackBerry Tours, come and get 'em on Sprint and Verizon {Engadget}
Jul 12th 2009 12:16PM I really hope Sprint makes the Tour available for data-only...
BlackBerry Storm 2 spec'd, 3G-equipped original en route to AT&T? {Engadget}
Jul 12th 2009 12:15PM I'd still buy one. I love the Surepress screen. It combines the click of a normal BB keyboard with the touch of an iPhone-esque handset. Sure, it's not perfect and I hope they can improve it in the Storm 2 (read my comment above - RIM said Surepress isn't going anywhere), but I do like what they've done. I might end up getting the Storm (whatever version) if it comes to AT&T, but I'll still probably end up with a Tour on Sprint soon.
BlackBerry Storm 2 spec'd, 3G-equipped original en route to AT&T? {Engadget}
Jul 12th 2009 12:12PM I'm generally a fan of AT&T, but recently I've been having more and more problems with their 3G network. I had a Bold from launch until the 3GS launched, and towards the end the Bold could hardly keep a 3G signal. It would drop calls all the time too.
Now that I have the 3GS I don't notice it as much since I'm on WiFi a lot more often (couldn't use WiFi networks with a proxy on the BB), but I do see the E for EDGE a lot on my iPhone before the WiFi connects. I know a few people with the 3GS that can't keep 3G for their lives - they ended up just turning it off completely.

Jul 12th 2009 12:10PM I'm pretty sure one of the CEOs from RIM said Surepress was here to stay.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong though...
Editorial: Taking the iPhone 3GS off the job market {Engadget}
Jul 10th 2009 11:13PM Ha, I'm not sure why I even bother commenting here anymore. You guys low rank anything that isn't 100% pro iPhone (I guess this entire article would get a huge "Low Rank" if you could) or if someone dares agree with the "trolls."
Editorial: Taking the iPhone 3GS off the job market {Engadget}
Jul 10th 2009 4:27PM I COMPLETELY agree with what Paul Chapel is saying about the keyboard. I've been trying to explain this same thing to people ever since I had a BlackBerry and then switched to an iPhone again. When I originally had the iPhone and iPhone 3G (my first smartphones after a SLVR), I was EXTREMELY fast at typing. And it was easy - I never had an issue with the touch keyboard.
Now that I've had a BlackBerry (Bold, for about a year - from launch on AT&T to 3GS launch), I find it a lot harder to type on the iPhone. I find myself missing keys a lot, and constantly battling the dictionary. I may end up with a Tour from Sprint soon on a data-only plan so I can have the "best of both worlds."
@Paul - Please keep up the thought out and informative comments. At times you seem like a complete Apple fanboy and troll, but you really do have some good thoughts in this discussion. I really wish others wouldn't just rank your comments low because of who wrote them...
T400s disassembled, documented, found to be full of components {Engadget}
Jul 10th 2009 2:35PM Very true. I have two very old ThinkPads, each around 10 years old now probably, and they still work just fine. Sure, they're bulky and loud, but they run! I've only had one issue with my T61 (screen was just too dim to use), but they fixed that in two days.

Jul 10th 2009 1:56PM If I were in the market for another ThinkPad, this would probably get my money. I'll be sticking with my T61 for a while longer though.
