It doesn't take much to outdo the iPhone. My phone, which came out three years ago has more functionality than Apple's brick. You lose.
Browsers make OSes irrelevant? That's the biggest load of crap I've heard in my life.

Let's just forget about what people use computers for, like games...(Windows), software development (Windows/ Linux), video/ graphic editing (Mac), right, let's completely disregard any kind of business applications that may be tied in with the Operating System of use.

We can use Mac OS to run our Internet servers, right?

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
