So many people commenting are comparing it to the iPhone's design.

The big difference is the iPhone is real - this is not.

Engadget, what exactly would I avert my eye's from? This ugly piece of imitative crap?

*commence negative score on my comments from windows fan boys.
I dont care what the phone runs on (verizon, cingular, whatever.) I'll change my service if I have to, to use this phone. the iPhone is MINE. nothing will stop me from getting one as soon as its released.
I'll stick with my 24'' iMac and OS X.

I don't care about half of those features listed, and the raw performance parts do nothing of "kicking the iMac's ass". Core 2 Duo > Turion X2.

A better form factor would do wonders for this machine. But still, it runs bloatware like Windows.....no thanks!

*waiting for typical "stfu apple fanboy" reactions from the peanut gallery.
The local Apple store in California that I go to is all out of iSights.

The way I see it is this - Apple is most likely going to release ACDs with built in iSights, sometime in the near future. However, I don't believe its the end for the stand-alone model. Most rational people do not want to buy a new display to have the built in iSight. laptops are a different story, since they are portable - ACDs however are a desktop commodity (or laptop accessory, which makes your laptop a sudo desktop I guess). I predict a smaller, updated iSight - possibly running off USB since Apple is moving a lot of stuff from Firewire to USB. This can also mean iChat will be more USB-friendly and the use of 3rd party cameras should increase.

All speculation of course. But the fact that iSight stock is running dry is a fact.
that's because it is bloated and unstable. The generosity of Bill and his wife doesn't mean shit in regards to that.
Ed Colligan: the latest entry to my douchebag list :)
You'd be surprised how many people lose their keys. I used to work at a grocery store that uses 'club cards' for savings, you'd be surprised how many people LEAVE their keys at/near the cash register.

Though taken on average, most people that shop at grocery stores are inherently dumb, being that they are suckered to do the shopping by their more intuitive spouse/room-mate ;)

Smaller flash drives are always good, that just means you can get one the size like they are now, with more capacity. Or a smaller one period. Wins on both ends. More research put into smaller solutions for flash memory, the better. Not just smaller though, but much larger capacities. I want to see a 30-gig iPod Nano in the next few years, damnit!

By the way, I carry a USB flash drive (of a 2-gig flavor) on my keychain and it's fine....just about the size of a key, actually. :/
@adam: starts with f, ends with uck? Firetruck? I'm stumped!

Just return it man, if nothing new ends up coming out you can always get another one.
Jason sounds like some stupid Redmond f**kboy who is jealous over the fact that Mac users get a superior OS, and nicer computers. His commments about Stsve being smug and Apple in generalare just cover ups for his pethetic microsoft fanboyism.
Admit defeat, Windows by comparison (Vista even) is going to be so overshadowed by Leopard. Hel, Tiger even overshadows it on most fronts.

All microsoft fanboys should simply stop commenting on this thread, you all really sound pathetic when you see Apple talk about some great things, and you try to defend those idiots over at Microsoft. saud off, and let Mac people have their WWDC.

And honestly, who cares if the posters are low blows to Microsoft - its the god damned WWDC. Loyyality and passion are what drive mac users to develop things for that mac - that is what tthe WWDC is all about - hands on stuff, presentations,...its one big call-to-arms.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
