Because nothing is better than letting a few leds shine into your face while playing.
Genius!
That arm looks like a plastic dummy ...

If the thing could avoid hitting nerves and had near perfect accuracy at finding veins that would be progress worth spending money for. Otherwise it is more of a "because we can"-thing.
All it needs to max out any computer (or console) is some inefficient programming. I can write a program that "maxes out" any modern computer in a few minutes, but that does not mean it achieves anything.

EA is probably at a point where they have maxed out the Xbox 360 with unskilled and hurried coding from unmotivated and probably underpaid employees. Other companies have more skilled and motivated employees and are able to use the 360's resources much more efficiently.

Of course this applies to any console, just look at the first games that were released for the original xbox, and how they made it run Black and Half-Life 2.
Here is my comment: Go f*** yourself and spam elsewhere.
The window title on the ubuntu netbook says "720x480" :D
So they send something unencrypted and free for everybody, then want you to encrypt the copy you can make in you own home, using you own hardware, consuming the power you are paying for the purpose of preventing you to make more copies than they feel you should have?

I think we have just found the very definition of insanity.
Look at Apple's and HTC's software and user experience, then look at some chinese PMPs. They can't even spell properly.
anantha92: The output might be 720p, but can it play files with that resolution at a decent framerate? Most DVD players can not, even if they can output SD video scaled to 720p or 1080.
Plenty of DVD players have a HDMI out, but still can only play SD resolution content. I don't think this PMP will be any different. I'd rather have my TV do the upscaling than a PMP with 480 x 272 "HD" display.
Looks like another episode of KIRF: There is a fake Germany logo on the woman's upper arm ("Deutscher" = male German) and the logo behind the guy's fake iPod looks like it was heavily inspired by Ford's.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
