"Microsoft's Apple Store" LOL
It's a great deal for me too. I live in NYC and don't want to deal with the hassles of car ownership but I occasionally need a car to run an errand or pick up furniture, girlfriend at the airport, etc. Even the daily rates are comparable to rental cars and it's much more convenient.
Heh, I love that waiting a few weeks to wirelessly send media through text messages is now "the dark ages."
I only buy software with a high-five in the logo, so these guys are in luck. High five!
What are these photos supposed to represent? People of all ages and ethnicities, all hanging around a single laptop, receive news of an operating system party! Is this supposed to be plausible?
It's like you guys are looking for something to complain about. I just provided an example of how this is a useful hint. Laptop, desktop, enormous library. What do you want, a refund of your TUAW subscription when an article doesn't apply to your precise situation?
@iGO: Not everyone has a 65 story house and 97 Macs. If you have a laptop and a desktop this is an excellent way to approach this problem. Just because it doesn't apply to YOU doesn't mean that it's useless.
You don't even need GPS. Snow Leopard can figure out your location using the SkyHook database. I don't know what level of detail it can get though. That's how it figures out your local time zone.
"I started a business and it's not going well therefore business is useless to everyone."
How to save the economy: give me this drive and I'll backup our current economy so we can restore it later, if things get worse.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
