People love the Wii because it offers more than just shoot-'em-ups and mature-rated titles(a la PS3 and 360). At least that's what I like about it, there's more choice in what games you want to buy/play.
Honestly what's this world coming to when a portable uses a console's controller, and I thought the Virtual Boy was bad
Oh and to respond to your comments on Virtual Console, I would personally really enjoy playing games from the past on a console I could easily access and not have to buy the cartridges (e.g. I saw Sonic at the thrift store once but no Genesises) or console. The Wii Points is kinda sorta inconvenant though.

The only two things I have about XBL is
a) I wish they had brought a little innovation i.e. PlayStation Home instead of just evolving XBL from the original XBOX.
b)It's not free, and I can get pretty much the same thing on Nintendo and Sony free of charge.
c)Where's the f'ing web browser (kind of one of my favourite features on the Wii.
These are just my opinions, not facts. Your opinion is your opinion, and that's fine so let's just all get along, alright?

I'm sorry but you should read my response to Maestro. That is the same thing I'd say here.
It's called the The Legend of Zelda: TWILIGHT PRINCESS! I swear that I could play through Halo's launch night and I would never get up.

But other than that ,no there are not a lot of AAA tiltes YET. A lot of third-party devs are trying to step up the production (both quality and quantity) of Wii titles so what I'm saying is that you should just wait a little longer that's all.
@blah

You forget that all the game franchises you mention are legendary game franchises, k? And no they are not overrated like Halo (albeit only slightly) is. The reason they are still published is because they brought and continue to bring something new to the table. I don't even think that Mario will ever be let go because then people won't have anything to remember of when they think of gaming's past.
The Wii's novelty will never wear off if it has great games(which it will, trust me)
@slvrgun
It's funny that you complain that the Wii is a "GameCube 1.5" for the following reasons:
1. You say that the Wii's games are rehashes of old games, but "hardcore" gamers still play the games that you mention and almost all of them are sequels plus you still play them with the SAME controller. At least with the Wii, Nintendo brought something different to the table.
Hey,
the PS3 doesn't doesn't break as much as the 360, and it has the same(if not better) hardware in it so yeah.

Perhaps the 360 wouldn't have brojken as much if MS had taken the time to do proper product testing OoO
I must say that while the titles you mention for the other systems are good a) Play Zelda:TP and you'll forget Halo ever existed and b) Because of the Wii's success, the third-party developers are all trying to step-up the quality of their titles for the Wii, so you might be logging in more time on the Wii then you think!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
