Gimmicky and the way the screen is inset combined with the hinge for keyboard and the overall design, vaguely reminds me of a child's toy. I'll pass.
Can someone explain to me why this technology is the future and why it's so helpful? I honestly don't get it.

Shopping for and carrying bottles of liquid around doesn't sound convenient. And the power output doesn't seem to be that much greater. Is there promise of it creating much longer lasting power down the road?

Seems like a far bigger revolution will be when solar-charging devices get really efficient. That truly would be convenient - just leave your device or charger in the window. No outlets or liquids required.
barry: Not AT&T?
Hey, did anyone else hear about a new Engadget Show tomorrow? Anyone know who the guest is? I've been hearing rumors but can't seem to find any info on the site here.
I totally agree on the bundling idea (paper book + digital copy for a few dollars more). O'Reilly, the tech book publisher, does this on their online store and I really like it.
Yeah, the production, Dutch version of this type of vehicle had it's own segment on Top Gear years ago. Not new.

And no, a different suspension setup by BMW is not enough to quality this as Engadget worthy. Maybe AutoBlog worthy.
Great, great, great! You guys are doing a fantastic job. It's amazing this is only your second show. Both of the first two have been highly entertaining and well produced.
I think that's a beautiful piece of hardware. Not sure if I'll ever buy a netbook though. My thin-and-light laptop and iPod Touch serve pretty much all my needs, from portable web access and videos to more serious computing power and dvd playback. Would be nice to have the 3G though.
You LOST the podcast? FAIL.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
