The prohibitively expensive contract price is what scared me away from the iPhone 3G/AT&T 2-year deal, too. They must be able to get people to pay for it, but there are so many options I'm surprised AT&T can get away w/ it.

Apple's marketing has been so brilliant for so long that they could probably make an ad with a juggler and a web cam and it could sell 10,000 laptops. It doesn't hurt that their product design is beautiful.
There's something up with L.T. And it seems like the CBS broadcasting crew sidestepped it completely.

"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
