would a hot woman with an older cell phone be a deal breaker?
I guess this is what promo videos look like in the digital ER-AH.
Hey, stranger things have been christened as "street-legal". Check out the street-legal recliner:

Whip up a solar-powered version of that, and I'm sold!
Or the people who stay on the line for five minutes saying, "hello? Hellooooo..." when they can't hear anything on the other end. As if saying "hello" with the right tonal inclination would suddenly repair the connection.

Baffling.
$20 says you googled "solid tick" and posted the only semi-meaningful non-Engadget reference that popped up ;)

Try it!
It's been a solid tick since I last visited the cobbler! Figured before I stopped by the apothecary I'd comment here, and then its off to the haberdasher. These turn of the century business jokes doing anything for ya?

(Seriously, a solid tick? Who says that?)
Hey, Daniel, check it out! I found someone who agrees with you!

That wouldn't be half as funny if it weren't for your picture.
First person to incorporate the bottom picture into an avatar wins.

Classic!
I hear ya, Slick. It makes a man wonder.

Ryan! I love your stuff. I love Engadget. I have to ask, are you guys ever approached by large corporations asking to "showcase" their new releases, or are these articles based off press releases and nothing else?

Just curious. Keep on rockin :)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
