:'(
my mommy agrees with my opinions

i take shitting more seriously than this, im just defending a great phone
You guys are all
A.) asses
B.) liars

whoever said they used a sidekick and it sucked and they hated is just talking trash to be talking trash. I had the SK2 for two years and have never used a phone I liked more.

It's biggest problems were
Battery life (charge it every night, or it'd be dead by noon.)
the sceen (ewwww)
lack of mms and a vga camera

The software and AIM integration was great, as was the browswer.. in 2004

Last december I ditched it for the pearl, and while the pearls is decent enough once you get used to suretype, I still vastly prefered the sidekick.

I'm more excited about the iphone than anyone, but the lack of a keyboard makes it something I'm not gonna buy until at least the 2nd iteration.

I've been planning on moving to ATT and getting a Curve this month, but now I may wait and see if these devices develop over the next few weeks.

The prospect of a more grownup, nicely designed sidekick with a usable screen has me drooling with anticipation.
What up guys, I live in Santa Rosa!
Am I gonna see any of you in line for the iphone?
I actually have nerve damage from this.
It's not that funny.
It's cool David Jaffe is getting out there in the spotlight. Remember that MTV thing he and some other devs did a while back?

In it, he commended CliffyB for being a public figure and said that's what designers should do.

Seems he's taking his own advice.
Funny how it always starts with drunken videos at launch parties.
argh, i just traded in my ps2!
So how does this work with the new prepay deal?

There is a dual tuner 80hour model too, would that just be the one we get free?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
