Samsung unveils 46- / 52-inch Series 8 LCD HDTVs {Engadget}

Jul 23rd 2008 3:33PM Ok, it seems that the 8 series is basically a 7 series, but thinner. 1.9" maximum depth.

Jul 23rd 2008 1:46PM I don't understand what the difference is between the 750 and the 850?

I had thought the 8 series was going to be the LED backlit stuff, but that's 9 now.

Jul 22nd 2008 11:31AM Oh wow, how on earth could I connect "mobile computing" with notebooks? Geez, I am such a nerd like you say.

So exactly what all products fit in your definition of "mobile computers"?

I'm going to assume that you mean a phone, which will get on the internet, play music/videos, play games, etc.

Gosh, the iPhone has to be the only device that can do all of that, you are so right, Apple is dominating the phone market.

Jul 21st 2008 10:38AM So because some peoples nostalgia doesn't line up with your nostalgia then they shouldn't be allowed to make hacks like this?

Jul 21st 2008 10:35AM Yeah cuz who doesn't love to play old console games on a touch screen with no real buttons. Oh right, most people.

It's pointless for me to even tell you to quit trying to bring up the iphone in every topic, so I won't. But a PSP referrence would of been more suitable for this one.

But props to this guy, I'd love to have one of these!

Jul 21st 2008 10:05AM "and are pretty much owning the mobile computing market"

For a guy that is has already bashed the Zune on it's low market share % you don't know much about them. Apple has less than a 10% market share, when did that become "pretty much owning" anything?

Nintendo MotionPlus hands-on: blah. {Engadget}

Jul 16th 2008 5:20PM Quit your bitching. You have to buy extra controllers for all the other systems too. You're not saving any money by buying one of them over a Wii.

"Im giving up on the wii and it needs a price cut and dvd playback or im gonna start using it as a paper weight."

So if they don't cut the retail price on the Wii you're going to stop using yours? How does that make any sense at all? And why are people so bent out of shape that the Wii doesn't play DVD movies? Most people (especially gamers) already have multiple boxes hooked up to their TV that will play DVD's. Including, *GASP*, a DVD player! Why on earth would you feel the need to cry for another?

Multi-platform console mod defies practicality, in a good way {Engadget}

Jul 9th 2008 4:42PM As much as I like playing all the emu's on my PSP, it is still just emulating them. Some games just plain don't play 100% properly on the PSP. Not saying I'd rather lug this around than deal with some slowdown in my games, but playing games on original hardware is still the best way to play.
