If the Toshiba M700 (which I own) had a WSXGA+ (1680x1050) resolution instead of a WSXGA (1280x800) then it would be hard to beat. The way it currently is configured hardware wise I don't see anything better. Dell XT is lacking power and $1500 more.

Main Benfits:
-It doesn't suffer from the extreme screen grainyness other tablets have.
-Tablet & touch capable - stylu pen & finger
-Core 2 Duo, etc, etc
-Intel x300 graphics are amazingly capable for the power savings they provide

Dream Features Missing:
ESATA Port
Blu-Ray Burner (what do you expect Toshiba to do here? lol)
Ian, why do I have the feeling that you were an early HD-DVD adopter?

Your ignoring the only standard commerically available that offers (1920×1080) 1080p video resolution along with Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD Master Audio lossless audio...

This is because you either don't have the desire for commerically accepted leading edge audio visual presentation or you don't have the money.

Hoping that online delivery will provide content via stream or download then watch capability at that level of quality will be like blacksheep said, 10-15 years from now. But by then, the TV's will most likely have the capability to display twice the resolution of blu-ray, with another format of disc player taking it's place.
Yea, cops can have all the COFEE they want, they aren't touching this guy...

I would use this while laying in bed to relieve strain on my damaged back.

This would be perfect!
Screw the Slingcatcher... I want some Veronica Belmont! I mean Slingcatcher.

Hello to you sweetheart.
EVERY SONG that is written today is a copy of previously uncompensated authors and artists who didn't have the recording industry squeezing their neck. Most every beat, riff, and lyric is a copy from this point forward. Certainly there are exceptions to this, however, THE MATERIAL THE RIAA PRODUCES or has current self proclaimed control over (95% of their plasticized yearly production since 1990) is plagerized, sampled, uncredited, slightly altered, David Copperfield, "You wanna go back to my warehouse?", styrofoam as fake as the politicians who appoint the judges that will decide this case.

In other words, It's copied BEFORE we even get it.

How about the court get a razor bladed line of that?

On another note... where are all the hackers that are suppose to be PWNing the RIAA and their lawyers servers causing absolute chaos and destruction during this current rape of our gaped legal system? Are they all retired and WOW cracked out? What a joke.
Damn, thats a lot of tacos... Feed yourself dinner every night for for 8.21 years (2 per night to fill up good... ummmm), or buy this?

I visualize your stumbles.

But then again, have you considered "Nickle Night" at the Tijuana Donkey Show?

Can you say 120,000 nickles? I'm really kicking the can here.
Give people POWER Options:

1. If I want to suffer with less battery life, let me chose to do so
A. Give me a build option of a REAL Dual Core 2.4 Ghz CPU
B. Give me a build option of switchable Graphics (ala Sony SZ)
2. Include Microsoft One Note 2007 as an included default app.

THAT'S IT! I can live with the slower HDD until the SSD drives come down in price. And with these "slight" modifications (anyone catch that? lol) you will convince me to spend the money for something WORTH it.

Dell... I am loaded and refuse to buy this the way it is. I guess I'll do with what I have and wait until you guys wonder why this thing isn't selling (HELLO???) and give us what I asked for above. And please, next time don't lead me to step in dog sh!t and expect me to just act like it's a new part of my shoe.
@ I.E - Asus is headquartered in Taiwan, a country the does not consider itself part of China.

Lenovos orgins are out of Hong Kong with a CEO dissolving a listed world headquarters to prevent the Chinese connection from disturbing sales in the US.

You can debate me all you want on that, however there is no doubt where Lenovo is based and where its stock is traded (Hong Kong) just as there is no doubt where Asustek roots it's corporation. Two distinct locations my friend.

"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
