Jun 9th 2008 11:51AM I guess they could've mentioned the static contrast.. I would just see a 20k dynamic around 2k-5k static, does that sound right? That's still better than traditional 500 that I've been seeing >.

Jun 9th 2008 11:44AM I'm really surprised nobody has commented on the 20,000 dynamic contrast.. forget the 1920x1200 vs. 1080p and suck down the 20k contrast; that certainly perks my ears up. I remember when I my current 4 LCD setup, they touted 1,000 contrast (17" displays), and only a few months after I got them, they remodeled them to be 500 contrast. I'd love to see more high contrast monitors. Good work Acer!

May 21st 2008 11:01AM Competing with the web is MS' new goal. They dominated the desktop, so why not steal EVERY single market in relation to consumers with IT? It's global dominance, and simply put, MS isn't going to rest until there is NO "dominating competitor". I don't blame them. If I owned a multi-billion dollar company, and I saw other people profiting from things that I have any (even a small portion) of market share, I'd try to smash all the little guys too, and feed the government with discounts on my software so they don't come after me.
Makes total sense.

Out of all the IM's, MSN is the one that rarely works (my friends complain about it more than I do..). Also, $1.3 million... and how much did they make from their MSN advertisements... $200 mil ("a small amount..")? Mhmm, very charitable, Microsoft. Props to you.

Apr 10th 2008 1:48PM I would like to point out that the Mac vs. PC ads are just that, Mac vs. PC. It's not saying Microsoft, or Windows... or heck, OSX isn't even mentioned, just implied. The ad above specifically is calling out Verizon...

Apr 8th 2008 9:51AM I find this add-on not nearly as helpful as the FireFox add-on, because the FlashBlock for FF allows you to set individual websites/domains, etc. This article states it's simply and on/off ability. Sigh, a year overdue and it still doesn't work well. Go figure. Why keep praising them?

Apr 7th 2008 6:23PM Wasn't Microsoft the ones that made fun of Nintendo for the Wiimote for months and months? Wow, go figure. This is just sad. I have an X360 and Wii. I already never play either console, and the X360 just sucks, even with this. If anything, this will make me hate the console even more for copying Nintendo.
P.S. The design looks to be 3rd party, not MS brand... but still.
