Are some of them irregular?
Ordinarily, there were no other choices. But today, there were more than one could fathom. To this, a great sigh of relief was heard throughout the outer sphere of inclusion.

No one had quite imagined the impact of such an unimagined surprise.

The impact was quick, yet lasted far beyond what the common assumptions would have led one to believe.

The new day was different from all those that had come before.

Free from previous assumptions, the people rejoiced.

Looks like the web page for The Center for Morphing Control is no longer working. Here's a link to the cached page:

The Center for Morphing Control is a research collaboration among faculty at the University of Florida. The Center provides a common foundation to bring together researchers with expertise from several disciplines. The initial team includes investigators from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. The funding for the research comes from a variety of organizations and covers a broad range of applications.

The mission of the Center is to investigate issues related to control of a morphing system. Specifically, the Center studies the dynamical effects related to morphing.

• modeling the time-varying dynamics during morphing
• designing nonlinear controllers to utilize morphing
• constructing experimental testbeds to demonstrate morphing
FireFire? Isn't that what you're not supposed to yell in a crowded movie theater?

It is scary what is happening out there right under all of our noses.

Looks a bit like an Etch-A-Sketch.
Instead of the MacBook, perhaps we shold call it the MacCook.

(I know the whole thing is a joke, but still, I like the name.

I have the all 3 of the last NeoDigits models. This is the best so far. The NeoDigits (Helios) uprez's in both the Analog outputs (Component, & VGA) as well as the Digital output (HDMI).

Most of the other units on the market only uprez through the digital outputs.

That is very important for those TV's or Monitors that have no digital in.
This newly named HELIOS HDV2085 model has a few improvements over the previous NeoDigits HDV2085 model:

1. New remote control which has glow in the dark buttons and more user friendly.

2. Internal changes include "true standby" power off (extends the life of
the unit), better power board capacitors (again longer life and more
reliable), and better audio decoding with better capacitors.

3. HDMI cable is included.

BTW: I saw the X3620 model in January at CES, and it's much more geared toward the high-end A/V crowd. VERY sturdy, rugged, heavy-duty feel to the unit.

I know that the company has some cool stuff in the works.

They just might be.... shall we say, "exploring," some cool new upscaling devices.......
For my money, the NeoDigits Helios HDV2085 offers way more for your money. Even tho it lists for $199, they often have promo deals if you sign up at their website. http://neodigits.com/

Some of the features include: Region Free Playback

Up to 1080p support via Component (A huge benefit for those that have no DVI, or HDMI inputs)

VGA output, which is great if you have a computer monitor that you want to watch DVD's on.

Playback format options: DVD/ SVCD/ VCD/ CD/ HDCD/ MP3/ WMA/ Photo-CD

HDMI 1080p support.

High-definition output options via Component interface in 720p, 1080i and 1080p

High-definition output options via HDMI interface in 720p, 1080i, 1080p, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024

480i/576i output options via HDMI. Ideal for using with an external scaler.

High-definition output options via VGA interface in 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1280x1024

High-definition output options via DVI(via HDMI to DVI cable) interfaces

This is a very handy player if you have lots of different monitors that you work with.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
