I just tried to run the download through Parallels. Firstly it downloads a Download Manager, then that downloads another file. It looks like an exe but seems to be a 'box file'. What ever it is, it starts to unpack and then quits with a 'Path name does not exist' error. I'm guessing it's because it's hard coded to look at c:\ and it's running in psf:\ on Parallels. Looks like I'll have to go to Boot Camp after all.
Haven't lost it yet, but it is named Soon2BLost. I never unplug the headphones except when syncing, so at least it has a long white tail to help locate it.
While all these technical things are possible, my money is on the police doing nothing. It may seem important to the person who's stuff has been stolen, but property crime of a few items is low on the priority list for the cops, even small town local cops.
These only worked with Firewire 400, so you'd have to have a port (or adapter from 800) to use it.
They did come with a dock though, and a sleeve if I remember correctly...
Hey Frank,
Why is this article credited to the Associated Press, when their article is only a few lines..? How about some simple clicking to find the real story?
Traffic is not being banned from Times Square, so your headline is wrong. The plan concerns Broadway and the congestion caused where it cuts diagonally across Times and Herald Squares. The NY DOT plan is outlined here:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/html/about/broadway.shtml
And here's a 'before' & 'after' picture of Times Square:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/dot/downloads/pdf/ts_before_after.pdf
Doesn't look like traffic has been banned to me...

The whole point is to speed the flow of traffic through Times Square (on 7th Ave) not to ban it completely.
That has got to be the fugliest thing I've seen in a long time..!
I can't believe anything like that will ever really hit the streets.
I foresee a new Microsoft ad...
Young-ish, sort of hip, 'real person' says "I want a computer and I only have $160 to spend. I looked at Apple's machines and they cost a lot more, so I go the RazorBook and I'm really happy. I even get to keep the $10 to buy lunch!"
@Fred, strictly speaking it would cost Apple _something_ to put an FM receiver in the iPhone. It's not a case of 'enabling' something that's already there.
I wouldn't hold my breath for it either. There's no iPod with a built in FM receiver, even though other brand MP3 players seem to think it's essential. I certainly don't miss FM when I've got my iPod with me. I don't even want to hear the talking heads on the TVs at the gym - I'd rather listen to my choice of music.
Rumors I've seen are for an FM transmitter, but I don't believe that either. I think they'll stick with the already-demonstrated Bluetooth streaming to cars, not a crappy FM link.

I agree with other posters about FM radio's downsides. Ads and short repetitive playlists. I was doing some work on my house this weekend and had the radio on. Over two days, it got _really_ boring.
It's not "thought that the new 3.0 software will enable stereo bluetooth streaming to a car suitably equipped" - it's been demonstrated days ago by cars.com

Wow, blog journalism at it's best, eh?

I use Vuze. Yes, it's different to Azureus' interface, but it still works well. You can easily ignore its "channels".
What I like is that it has a DLNA server built in that can stream to a PS3. The $50 Elgato app can't do that. It used to, then they claimed Sony broke something in an upgrade, but free apps can cope.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
