AT&T offers iPhone plan for the hearing-impaired {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 30th 2008 1:31PM What's odd to me is that you need to be hearing impaired to get this plan. I understand that forcing others to get a more expensive plan even though this is the best option for them is good for AT&T's bottom line, but I'm surprised it's legal.

Mar 25th 2008 7:45PM Thanks for the tip. I saw the "Auto CC" field, but would rather not have all my messages forwarded. I'm only interested in CC-ing mail that comes to my work account, but to which I reply from my gmail, due to SMTP issues. Auto CC doesn't resolve this, since it would only CC my gmail account and not my work account. I appreciate the help, though.

Mar 21st 2008 7:32AM I use Mail.app for all my accounts, but use gmail as my outgoing SMTP server, so all my outgoing mail goes through there. I CC or BCC all replies to mail sent to my work account for archiving. Is there a way to set a rule for all my replies to emails coming to me@work.com to be CC'ed or BCC'ed to me@work.com? Thanks.

Ask TUAW: Carputers, Apple Remote, iChat, iCal, Safari, and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Feb 3rd 2008 6:57PM I've got an interesting one for next time, and it only happens on Weblogs, Inc. sites.
Whenever I want to comment on TUAW I have two options: 'New Users' and 'Current Users'. 'Current Users' never remembers my password, even with 'Remember Me' ticked. I have to open stickies where I've got my TUAW password saved. I've taken to just commenting as a new user and having to check my spam account to verify comments. How can I get Safari to remember my login here?

Feb 3rd 2008 6:53PM I'm not sure if you answered Thomas's question completely. I've had the same issue; the Windows box can be accessed just fine using Samba and apple-K, but it never shows up in the sidebar no matter the settings. My solution is just to mount it once with apple-K, then add it to my login items or create an alias to it on the desktop. Hope that helps.

Jan 23rd 2008 5:29PM This made me wonder whether or not people have kludged OS X into a VM with the OSx86 project, legal or not. It seems like if you can build a 'hackintosh' then you can simulate one.
