Mobile phones are a distraction from everything you need to concentrate on driving, and I don't have valid statistics but I'd wager they're responsible for more than a few of the road accidents that occur each year. Banning the use of distracting devices while driving isn't a bad thing :)

Wouldn't obsessive parents sit at home watching the location of their child all day? Children going to school is as good for the parents as it is for the child, after looking after it for years they need to deal with letting the kid step out into the world on it's own.

There's some vital lessons to be learnt for both sides that would be negated by parents being able to track their kid everywhere. =\

Annoyed to the point of ending your relationship with an entire studio? He's taking the "things aren't going my way so I quit!" approach here. He should have been lobbying them when they were making the decision about whether to accept the funding or not.

You can't just stick your head in the sand for months then decide to cry about something without seeming childish. Besides, if the contracts didn't specify the distribution formats he has no right to expect distribution to be done a specific way.

Biometrics for home doors sounds like a pretty neat idea, provided it's only subject to the traditional methods of fooling the scanners and people can't just break it.
