Exactly my thoughts Shmoe. Technology for it's own sake I guess. Or for marketings sake. Do you have HD on your phone? Didn't think so, loser.

Maybe, it could be useful if they get some really nice projector technology built into these things as well. Yeah, miniturize that DLP stuff TI.
“Should we really fault him, though, or should we be angry at the source?”

How is he not the source? These things only happen because someone is willing to be false in exchange for some cash. Which is unavoidable but lame all the same.
*If* these do turn out to be the specs, then it means that the system should really be cheap/small/quiet (not to mention the best loooking of the bunch). Throw that in with my limited time for gaming, and possibility that my girlfriend will like playing this thing. Suits me just fine.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
