Yes we have EDGE. We also have 3g.

I use edge and i say fast enough for a phone.
Awesome so its basically like Sonys XMB now. Finally something less confusing.
Skippy is my BEST FRIEND!

lol too funny
Andrew... Did you get your patch for Leopard too? Something that was suppose to work but 'required' a patch to fix over 100 holes in its spots. Seriously dude. You're starting to scare me as well. Poor guy.
Well you're right about one thing anyways. Microsoft almost seems like they are copying Apple in everyway. Like their number of fixes in this patch for instance. Its so long... you might as well call this 'Patch 2.3 'the Leopard edition'. Except its not as long.

Isn't the Canadian dollar worth more than the American dollar still? lol

1.00 CAD = 1.01869 USD

Too funny.
No i know all about chatting in games. And most people do it when they have a keyboard while using a PC or a microphone when using a PC or a console. Tell me how exactly you communicate while playing games on a console right as of this moment? Do you type it out on a screens virtual keyboard(frustrating and slow and certainly rarely during gameplay)? Or do you just have 10 quick lines that you select to say...i slaughtered ya!~ or your mom is a lawnmower? Cause right now unless you own a mic or purchased one of those add-on (again more money) thumb keyboards for your controller. That is all about you are doing at this point in time. Honestly most people use Mics. Well atleast everyone i know. And that does exist on Sony. So im not being an ass in this reply...just a straight up honest response.

As to your reply to no games? If i consider the 10 games that i have already bought...still havent finished...and rarely have time to play. I would say there are alot of games. Since every game (practically) coming out is on both systems. And Truthfully no anticipated games solely for the 360 coming out. I mean cmon they had Halo which is the same old same old...and they had BIOshock. Which is an incredible game. But beyond that their eggs have pretty much hatched. Not a whole lot coming this way. Lots of decent alright games that are nothing to write home about. So speaking the truth once again. Look at whats coming out for Sony and ONLY for Sony. And its pretty damn impressive.

Ya sorry to sound overwhelmingly like a fanboy as you people seem to call it. I do like the ps3 and use it everyday. Hell my tv is on 24/7 and Sony ties it all together. Previously i couldnt stand Sony garbage. Ive owned 3 A/V recievers of theirs to only have them burnout so to speak. And everything else that they offered although innovative just never seemed to matchup with other brands on the market. Their gaming systems seem to be what they are best at. I did consider buying a Xbox and a 360 but it seemed mostly bent on selling me Halo which coming from a PC gaming background...well...its been done and killed a billion times over. New vehicles and such...i just dont care. Gears of War got me excited until i played it. Maybe im just getting old? or my tastes are changing? But what really sunk it...and i do still consider it to be a system i might one day buy...was that damn Dashboard. I keep reading online about how its so awesome and the online experience was second to none. And frankly i honestly just didnt see it. And i find that typical of Microsoft. Ya i dont know. The PS3 is a good solid system and just now are the real games coming out that werent the result of quick ports. When i read about 2gig single levels and thought about the constraints on the DVD? Plus HDMI for my 50" plasma ...bluetooth rechargeable controllers ..yada yada yada... Then bring in the fact it runs linux and how that allows downloadable FREE user levels and mods from the pc world when playing Unreal Tournament? Microsoft is gonna find a way to charge the 360 owners for that shit. Does that not piss you off? In the slightest?

So i guess if all of that makes me a fanboy then so be it. Theres some heavy weight features there that are a home run in my books. Maybe i'll consider a 360 when they finally add in the HD drive for the real next gen games. It'll probably cost $599 lol

Cheers guys,

Rob
There IS in game XMB support with the 2.0. Pretty sure i read that elsewhere. You might want to read about it elsewhere since this tid bit was lacking in substance. Games... If you say there are no games out for the ps3 then you are on crack. How about going to a store and telling them to put the last 20 games released this month on the shelf. I went to EB games where they were still showing the old games and all the new were behind the counter and i had to ask for them. Sony IS getting its act together. Alot of people still own just a PS2 and have alot of games. As a result good games like God of War etc are still being made for it. All of those people are looking to jump into the ps3 this xmas especially with the new low pricing. If anything dont take my word for it. Hit the news stand and grab a magazine or two they all agree that Sony is hitting it hard and its really starting to show. I had this conversation at EB with a staff member when i was buying 2 new games. And he just blurted out how he wants to buy a ps3 now. After seeing all the systems being sold and the new energy around it.

I'm still blown away how 360 owners arent a little pissed after all the breakdowns suffered...the crashing... a system thats JUST producing the same level games with the first gen games that were mostly rushed to print on the ps3. Then to offer the same features (and still even falling short), they come out with a pricey Elite? What a mere year later? Your HD drive doesnt work for games and guess what. Start reading about the limitations of DVDs by some game makers. How they are starting to cut corners without the extra storage. I could go on...k i will.

And the dashboard on the XBOX? Gimme a break. I sat at my friends house trying to download a free game or atleast something decent for $8. It was darn near impossible. I'm sorry but the Dashboard is garbage compared to the simple XMB. And chatting during games? WHO CARES?! Beyond lets join up and lets kill something. I wont be swapping recipes. Home is coming and thats what its for. Engaget you just felt like pointing out the obvious that it wasnt in 2.0? Good for you. Now supply some real info for a change.

Oh and i love to stream HD to my PS3 too. Its called TVersity software. Net radio streams live tv etc. *sigh Darn near brings a tear to my eye.
Ya i dont know... I've owned a PS3 since launch date. I watch ALOT of BluRay movies since im a movie buff. So im not too sure why most of the brain dead population doesnt realize their PS3 actually has a player. Or even how valid that poll really is in the first place. I mean c'mon. Most people that buy the PS3 have a LCD/Plasma of some sort and clearly are into HD on some level. So to not actually be aware of BluRay and what its capable of? I find it hard to believe.

Below is a link for a $299 bluray player from Philips. Not too sure how it was overlooked either since everyone is simply looking at price these days. Then people ramble on about features on the Bluray disc. Well i for one have had zero problems navigating the menus, and when it comes right down to it i really only care about the movie on the disc. Just not overly concerned about the extra content. Sorry. Watch once and its done. Movie...watch about another 1000 times.

All you have to do is go into a game store and you will see all the buzz around Sony lately. Yes they had a pure shit of a start. But look at some magazines or browse around online. People ARE buying them at a much greater rate now. And the gaming lineup is on the move with alot of new games in the last month and alot more to come.

Oh yes BluRay... The only reason why i would go with them is because...i already own the player that just happen to come as a bonus with my PS3. I'm sure many people feel the same.

"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
