Family comes over, we all have way too much to eat, and I'll spend most of the day fiddling with my new possessions.
Does unemployment count as naughty, or nice?
A) Is there a video game where Washington DC *isn't* destroyed? And
B) This feels like one of those times where I should have listened to my gut and continued to avoid seeing much about this game, because a lot of the stuff from the trailer seems pretty huge, almost spoilerish. I'm sure that, since it's in the trailer to begin with, they obviously have something greater up their sleeves as a twist, but I still feel like seeing DC burning should have been a pivotal, surprise scene.

But meh... who knows; maybe it won't even be in the game, and it's all for promotion.
Just give me my two damn copies already. For crying out loud, the OS has been done for months now, has been in the hands of many people through digital means, and the family packs are already in the hands of some. Why do I have to wait till the 22nd?
Wait, what! A week where every single comic is funny, or at least acceptable(possible exception being Sidescroller)? What's going on?
I, for one, am completely enamored by Light Peak, and if Apple really is the company behind pushing the tech through, I have gained a lot of respect for them. This is the kind of stuff that makes me want to become a hardware engineer.
Microsoft's other big problem (besides console failure rate) this cycle is pricing on peripherals. The 360 would still be, arguably, the best value console if it included built-in wifi and a usabe amount of hard drive space. I think they're making a big mistake in gouging on the "little things," specifically, wifi and the hard drive. I'm still stuck with my 20 gigger because I refuse to shell out the cost of a 120GB drive. I bought a 160GB, 2.5" drive on sale for $20 last year.
Dang. A freakin' great contest.
Wait... what? How is this not the same price as the current Wii Fit bundle? Oh, so they don't have to lower the cost of a game that's been out for how long now by a tiny margin.
Is anybody ever going to hire some decent designers for notebooks/netbooks besides Apple, and *maybe* Asus?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
