Still no fix for the 'wrong mono interface' problem that plagues M-Audio FastTrack users:

dang.
that's incredibly useful, thank you.
I've taken a photograph of the bus stop outside my flat, with the iPhone camera... when I go out on a wild drunken night I always make sure to set the wallpaper on my iPhone to that very shot- so I can find my way home... thanks to Lothian busses and their complex numbering system for that.
what kind of websites are these guys visiting? i recommend laying off the warez sites if you're a n00b...

in reality Safari has a long way to go on windows. and a Vista-esque "do you REALLLY want to download this file" box wouldn't be too much to ask from Apple. windows users are so used to warning boxes, another one won't hurt. i'm sure this'll get fixed shortly.

IE on the other hand has so far to go... why do they bother? If anyone on that team actually CARES about web development, standards and all that good stuff i'd be amazed.
I just 'had' to go out and get a 2 year old 12" Powerbook, I find the Air lacking in real-life.

Now, where's Apple's Professional sub-notebook these days? Oh and are we going by Mossberg's 'within the next 60 days' still? a Special Event intro-ing new iPhones + launch of App Store. I'm pretty sick of glitchy GPRS, and wi-fi networks are not abundant enough in Edinburgh. I'll give 3G a go!
I'm an Apple fanboy. But this time round I'll take the Thinkad's decade old, tried-and-tested, design over the quirky gimmickry of the MbA.

If only to use its form factor as a go-between my camera's memory card and my real computer (the iMac or MBP) the bonus of on the road / bus / tram photoshopping, and carrying an extra battery is a bonus.

My two cents.
ah Myst, used fairly unconventionally here to disarm a bomb. haha, wonderful.
Here's my 2-cents (a short guide with everything that went wrong for me, and how to fix it). I know have a v. 1.1.1 iPhone running in the UK on O2, or Orange... or whatever I want.

'Just because you traded lenin for coca-cola you think the world's going to be a sweet and safe place?'

the monopolistic carrier/government cartel is just that... a monopoly, there's no 'greater good' nor a grand scheme only short-term money making for the few... compare it to the soviet union maybe, to a horrible vision of new-world order - perhaps. But communism? Nice headline, shame about the content. (although I agree with the message... y'know, its just common sense)
Viva La France!

And I'm guessing its just a matter of cloning the OS from a Frenchy phone over to a UK or US version, a bit of tampering with the firmware or whatever (again, taking our lead from a copy of the french version) and we'll have a fully unlocked iPhone with no bugs etc?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
