I'm not one against promoting free power and taking use of solar cells.. But application on a cellphone that finds itself residing in some dark pocket/holster/purse that rarely sees the light of day unless you're talking/texting/surfing on it (in which case probably doesn't have the best angle to be collecting rays)? I don't find it to be the most applicable uses.
Only question is, is this too soon? Did Asus just attempt to throw together this stuff as fast as they can trying to beat HTC to the punch to cross that 528mhz boundary with Android? Admit, it is a nice looking phone! Just wonder how long 'til we get the upgraded androids to the stateside...
So anyways, Engadget hasn't taken my tip. But for those interested for the Pro 2 on ATT (Tilt 2), it is currently available as an upgrade option to premier (corporate) members. Just ordered mine yesterday Oct 13 and it is currently being shipped.

Shove it under the Navphone category...
Great... instead of some bystander tripping on my power cord and yanking it from the laptop, they're now going to trip on my power cord and yank my laptop... That sounds so much safer.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
