Fastest? Hardly. I have Verizon AND AT&T, and AT&Ts infrastructure is not nearly as fast or mature...
Notice the single button at the bottom center... Looks remarkably
like a "home" button.
If they kept the same resolution the same on the smaller screen, i have no problem with this at all. Smaller screen = smaller phone = what I want.

Honestly, if I could get an iPhone on verizon, I'd switch asap. Their 3g network is so much better than AT&T's, and I'm sure they'd actually deliver the tethering out the gate instead of this pointless delay that AT&T is pushing. We're one of the only carriers out there at this point who can't do tethering....and we were the first ones to actually get the iPhone.
@blaze

PSP game downloads are actually not big at all. Most of the space on a UMD was essentially wasted. The downloadable games on PSN (full featured PSP games) were surprisingly small.
This post makes the whole article relevant...
Bah. "Competitions" to get into a beta are counter productive. You need to throw it at a wide base of real users and see what happens.
It's a very insightful, frank, and altogether accurate article. I love apple, but only a blind fanboi would look for a fault there.
The first article I read said it was limited to the 17", but that's obviously not true, so I'm sure Apple will release the patch across the board.
I've got the 500GB 7200rpm drive and I see this issue a few times a week...
@Heimbache - I think you're entirely misinterpreting the applecare pricing or iGO's comment.

He spent a grand total of $119 for apple care.

They replaced his Superdrive for $0.

He's saying that paying the $119 for applecare in the first place was worth it.

The drives themselves cost $120 to replace, I think, so I'm not sure he actually made out that well here, but as long as he's happy...

However, he's still covered from any future problems for the next 1 year and 8 months.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
