I just looked at Sprint and Verizons sites. With Verizon, it looks like they can ship it overnight, and it has free activation, whereas Sprint is saying that due to strong demand, it may take a week to ship it. I don't know whether they are offering free activation either. This may really sway some folks buying decisions, unless you are already with the carrier, or you prefer one over the other strongly.
The isle of man has very laxed laws regarding driving. No speed limits, and on sundays twice a month you can cut across lanes. AND they allow go karts on the streets. they even encourage it with races! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7925732971135242913&q=go+kart+isle+of+man&total=4&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=0
Lenovo loads a lot of stuff on new pc's. I just purchased and received a T61 with Vista Basic on it a few weeks ago. 90 processes out of the box. (our low end Dell running Vista Basic came with 79 processes, and a clean Vista Home Basic comes in at about 32 processes). Besides AOL and Norton (which you have the choice to install), It is all good software. Their entire ThinkVantage line of software is refined and top notch. While I still removed Vista and installed XP... I quickly reinstalled their software. It was a first for me, as I absolutely despise OEM software. It is just that great! While I would have still purchased the T61 had I known about this (Really wanted the T61), I am glad to see Lenovo pushing into the consumer market. They've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Oh, and for those annoyed with unintelligible tech support, at least some of it is U.S. based.
I only pay $15 per month with Sprint to get power vision and unlimited texting. $5 less a month PLUS high speed internet. Nevertheless, I have always had a soft spot for the sidekick, and my biggest standing issue (the screen) has now been fixed. Good job T-mobile/Danger!
I just purchased an album off amazon. I payed 8.99 for it, and am downloading it as I type this over my schools wifi network. The program they use seems small and un-intrusive, and instantly adds the songs into iTunes. The fact that I can download songs LEGALLY and SIMPLY on my mac, and I can use the songs on any media I want makes this a slam dunk for me. I'm sold.
So compared to the 755p, what's the difference? size? speed? price? Is this slated to be a replacement for the 755p? I can't wait till tomorrow! ARGH!!!!!
Q4 is the 4th quarter of the year.

Q1: January-March
Q2: April-June
Q3: July-September
Q4: October-December

This may be different when talking about accounting purposes, but the above is what I took away from it, so expect these in the next 1-3 months!
I'm wondering about the price point. $99 sounds all nice and sweet, but this could be like typical cell phone ads. $400 - instant rebate - store credit - mail-in rebate = $99
I think there could definitely be a market for this, so long as they target it for high schoolers or techy middle schoolers. Show off it's compatibility with popular services like Youtube, AIM, YIM, Myspace, etc...
Don't compare a device like this with the 755p or the likes, look at the sidekick. I hope Palm is aiming for that measure as well, rather than a 755p replacement.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
