I'm very excited.
Not a lot of people know about archos yet. Once people know how good archos compared to Apple, Zune, and Creative then people will start buying archos. Apple is overpriced, Creative is a pain to use and load videos and music onto, Zune has limited features.

People ask me "what is that" when I am using my archos and most people say that if they had known about archos then they wouldn't get an ipod.
Had my archos for years and dropped it many times without any problems. It is very well built and you can get the 160GB for less than $400 at amazon. The reviews I'Ve read on the archos 605 are good and the problems with the previous generation has been fixed.
Sorry for the tripple post.
Zune? Lmao. Archos kills both of them (literally and figuratively*)
*You can connect the archos to both of them and delete all the data on them easily.
Archos 605 has more features and storage for the same price.

160gb hardrive
800x480 res 4.3" touch screen
good format support.
recording capabilities, wifi and youtube access, and webrowsing are just a few of the capabilities that make archos better than both expeccially the trash ipod touch.

Im replying to your comment:
"are archos using a special harddrive? ipods tend to break because the drives die. apple doesn't make drives..."

I've had my archos for a few years now and has dropped it 5+ times and I haven't had trouble with mine (I don't suggest trying it).

The screen is good quality and doesn't scratch very easily. It opens videos faster than ipods. The build quality is amazing and has a lot of format support.

For the same price of the trash ipod touch 16GB, you could get an Archos 605 160GB,4.3" 800X480 resolution touch screen 16gb expansion by SD, capable of recording medium high definition with plugin.

Please reply.
Archos 605 has more features than this piece of junk. 160GB hardrive, touch screen, high screen resolution, 16gb compatible SD card expansion slot.
(Archos can literally delete a whole ipod so it is literally an ipod killer)
Sorry for the double post.
There are batteries that can last for days of continuous that are very small but aren't being released to the public because of being denied patents and other things.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a pair of quality headphones that aren't seemingly made of glass. I'm an avid BMXer which causes me to frequently bash on any type of technology that joins me for my daily riding. I've been through the higher quality headsets in the Skullcandy line as these are supposed to be built for "abuse," which is laughable. I cant wear earbuds or canal buds, as my large ears seem to have a repelling property upon anything that sits in them. Wired or Bluetooth doesn't really matter, but I need something that can hold up to taking a few hits every now and again. I'm trying to keep 'em under $150. Thanks!"
