I have yet to understand why they don't include on/off buttons on RFID... There is no reason for these things to be always-on for the occasional times you need them to be on.

By letting them be on when the user wants them on, you eliminate most of the security concerns, prevent most spoofing, eliminate unwanted tracking, etc.

The only real reason I can see for why they don't already have on/off switches is because the tin-foil-hatters are right and "They" don't want you to turn them off...
Exactly my thought. I don't need another mouse, but a label printer that hooks to the computer would be handy. Those hand-held ones work, but are such a pain to actually use.
AllOfMP3.com used to claim they were paying the appropriate licensing authorities for the right to sell music... That's why the sites were "legal".
Its just that the Russian law requires a _much_ lower payment to sell music than the US would like.

The artists wont see any of that money because the RIAA refuses to accept the money from the licensing authority (which would further legitimize their claim of legality).
Rediculous idea.

The math is just flat wrong! I can buy the physical copy for the same price I can download a less feature rich version (no bonus disks or inside books or whatever). And with the new stoopid HD rules coming, I wont even be able to pipe it from my computer to the big screen.

Everytime I think these guys might be geting clue they go off and prove me wrong again...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
