Garmin Edge rules. Rugged, robust.
yeah... windows please! still have my old numark controller...
I've been in love with my 305 since it came out. So far, no other device has been able to convince me to change. Of course, 305 is no navi tool and has low battery life (7hours), but still number one for me. Any idea whether a 705 successor is soon out? that might be a challenge...
i hope its screen is significantly better than my Oregon's 300, which is useless for outdoor use (who uses GPS outdoor anyway?). Luckily I still have my 60Csx, best GPS device ever...!

any limits to human being's intellectually undemanding fall to unlimited stupidity? not enough perverts and exhibitionists around yet?
yeah, definitely agree with some points and particularly annoying that the dock must be purchased separately....
if its display is equal to the oregon 300's display, than using "sunlight-readable touch panel" is just a complete lie. fact is that oregon 300 is just a complete no go as its display is not made for outdoor use (but then again, who uses gps outdoors?!!!). i think i stay with my excellent Garmin 60Csx with an excellent display. Although the touch screen approach is definitely cool. But on the other hand, what's the use of being able to display heart rate and cadence frequency on the oregon if you can't export it to Garmin's training center software?
marvellous! can't wait to put the 705er on my bike. 305 was just the best ever! let's hope they get longer battery life, the only negative with the 305er...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
