I like the Tauren druid set too and I think Zach might have slighting missed the point of the designs.
Night elves are hippies, they take the approach that nature is something to be protected from other beings. They even harvest wood in a way that doesn't damage the tree.
Taurens on the other hand believe in sustainability, they are taught from an early age about survival and the hunt. Nature is a powerful force that is to be respected and used to protect the herd. Sure there are some Taurens who have joined DEHTA but most would just regard leather as another useful resource that can be harvest from the land provided they are responsible about it.
The only complaint I'd have with the Tauren outfit is the warrior helm!

Ultima Online had cartography as a skill that let you decipher treasure maps that dropped off mobs or where fished up.
With enough skill you could work out the location in the world and dig up the treasure, this would usually start an event where mobs spawned to protect the treasure.

Sounds like engineering to me, I we already have 6? pets we can make with it.

You don't need a private server to discover this, back during the zombie event we found that zombies from either faction could communicate and trade. It's well known your race is just another flag on the character.

Or like me you can be both, because cooking doesn't use up a profession slot so that is a silly comparison.

Don't discount engineering just yet, there are still lots of useful tool in there;
340 haste for 10 seconds every minutes is certainly not to be sneezed at for raiding, 18 spell damage on cloak is nice too and repair bots still get a lot of action. Portable mail box is always being requested in raids.

The googles lasted me all the way to Ulduar and there were some fantastic leveling trinkets, plus I made a large amount of money selling the armour plated combat shotgun.

Sure it's not the best but it's still good, could have done with an Ulduar update though.
