The Wire: Clarifications {TV Squad}

Feb 25th 2008 9:33AM Saniko--If you frequent this site, you know that they give reviews of shows that have aired...I make it a point not to click on reviews of episodes that I haven't watched. It only makes sense.

As for the person who brought up DVRs and the one who brought up those without HBO....why are you reading this if you haven't seen the episode? Do you honestly expect a website that writes reviews of TV shows to know when people with DVRs have watched the shows or wait until an entire season is out on DVD to post a review? Practice some self-control and don't click on the review.

Granted, I wouldn't have put rest in peace Omar in the first line for those reading the RSS feed....but the writer can do as he pleases since the show has aired and many of us saw it a week ago on On Demand.

Poll: Did you cancel your Netflix account after the Blu-ray exclusive decision? {Engadget HD}

Feb 13th 2008 12:58PM For some reason, I always get HD titles that have a wait. Just this morning, Assassination of Jesse James was listed as #1 in my queue with a Very Long Wait, I just looked at it and it's shipping today. That happens to me all the time....they'll ship it no matter what it says.

iPhone/touch-Kindle Smackdown {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 30th 2007 5:12PM Is it really necessary to compare the iPhone to almost every device? I've tried reading a book on my iPod touch and the flicking of the pages was really annoying and I found myself wanting a single hard button to turn the page.

Delicious Library 2 will track your media and your tools {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 21st 2007 7:02AM I own a lot of DVDs and I have a number of family and friends who borrow on a regular basis. Delicious Library is a perfect and attractive way for me to catalog my collection and keep track of who's borrowed what. It came in quite handy the other day when I was away from home and needed to tell my mother who lives in another state what HD-DVDs I had that I could bring home for the holidays. I was already on my computer and easily told her what I had and then reminded her she needed to return two movies. So, it's not useless to SOME people.

Comcast TiVo makes it into the wild {Engadget}

Oct 22nd 2007 3:02PM Trust me...you're still a lot better off with the TiVo HD DVR. The hardware for these DVRs are just as unreliable as the old software.

The Office: Money {TV Squad}

Oct 22nd 2007 10:15AM I think the best episodes were The Injury and The Negotiation. I can watch The Negotiation a million times and still laugh at the same parts...fav part - When Daryl said Michael looked like Hilary Clinton in his lady pants!

1.1.1 iPhone Multipage SpringBoard Hack {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 10th 2007 10:29AM Isn't Erica writing a book about the iPhone? Maybe that's clouding her judgement on the numerous updates on every little thing the hacker community does.

PC Mag gives iPod Touch an Editor's Choice {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 14th 2007 8:41AM I currently have a 30GB video iPod and just ordered the iPod Touch last night after analyzing my library. The bulk of my iPod listening is limited to a couple of favorite playlists, three or four podcasts, and watching a couple of episodes of the Office. I decided to create a couple of smart playlists that would pick a bunch of highly-rated songs that I rarely listen to just in case I get in the mood to listen to something different. I came to the conclusion that 16GB will do me just fine.

Why did Apple drop the price? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 6th 2007 9:09PM @Jake - You were wronged and misled? Does the iPhone not function properly? I don't get it. At what point in time would it have been ok for them to drop the phone by $200 or discontinue the 4GB IN YOUR EYES? Three months, four months, a year? What?

Apple intros ringtones for iPhones {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 6th 2007 9:16AM I use Audacity to make my ringtones...there's no way I would pay 99 cents when I can do it for free.

As for those people who can't stand ringtones, I find them very helpful. Associating a song with a person enables me to know just exactly who's calling without seeing the screen. I love this when I'm at home and my phone is in the bedroom and I'm in another room...I know exactly whether I want to pick up the phone or not. Of course my phone is on vibrate when at work or in a public area.
