@sevenbates use stylish in firefox if its really such a problem for you. There are several "fixes" out there (for example http://userstyles.org/styles/22718 ) if you don't know how to code one yourself.

And now back to topic and tell me if I should buy one for chist(mas) sake!
Just kidding. The last thing thats wrong with this thing is the button layout.
touchpad-buttons on the side? i'm out.
Am I the only one thinking of VAT? I don't want to sound picky, but in Europe the prices unsually include VAT (far higher VAT than in any US state as far as I know), which in case of France is nearly 20% --> €500 - 20% = €400 = $ 575.That sounds still steep, but more ok for what you get.
oh and for pricing, the 13 incher has an official price of € 750 excl. VAT (~ USD 1050), street price is about 800 incl. VAT.
They're already out in Germany and the first reviewers seem to be very pleased with what you get -- for a machine translated review of the 13 inch Core2Duo Modell, look here: http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.notebook-treff.de%2Fboard%2Ftechnik-allgemein%2Ferfahrungsberichte%2F8993-test-acer-travelmate-8371-944g32n%2F&sl=de&tl=en&history_state0=
to be fair a bit of a distortion is ok, because for example €240 in Germany would include 19 % VAT => price without tax €194 = $275.
turn off you adblock and you will be just fine
why is no one mentioning the z-series cpus anymore? weren't they supposed to be the "next genereation"? maybe their price is a bit higher, but with battery life a mayor selling point in the netbook market, please give meee a z!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just switched to Sprint from Verizon about three months ago for the Pre. Then I went for the Hero about a week ago. Now, I miss my hardware keyboard and am thinking about switching to the Moment. I am still able to switch back to Verizon if I want and get the Droid when it arrives. Should I just trade up to the Moment when it comes out, see if I like it, and if not switch to the Droid? Or something else entirely? Help!"
