Actually I have seen a Thinkpad 600 get run over by a coworkers truck. The thing worked afterwards only damage was a large crack in the screen, but for the most part the screen was still usuable except for the area that was cracked.
Because the subscription is so expensive? I do not think so. Think about how much GPS data updates cost for most built in car gps systems. Usually between $150-$200. Most update once a year. That works out to the same cost as the Dash service and the service gives you SO MUCH more value.
Actually it has a whole new AF system not just more points. That alone is a huge upgrade. However the new image sensor, new image processor, new AF, better viewfinder, better LCD. Really their is very little this camera has in common with the older D200. This camera is better than even the D2X from a tech comparison standpoint. Yet to see anyone compare image output though so keep that in mind.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
