Are you kidding? 19-inch ? 13-inch? Why the hell they are so big?
Actually light speed is not the limit if we are talking about the particles. There are particles that travels through time.
It would be funny if everythig would work with Turbo SIM or any other HW hack.
Damit. and I am still using 130nm CPU :) Still works fine... :) Image 22nm, that's almost 6 times smaller. Damn, technology is really going fast. I just hope they will require less power and will output less heat. Maybe one day we will not need any fans running on top of CPUs.
If I remember correctly OpenMoko and all NeoRunner is made for developers for now, basically it looked ugly before 2008.08 OS release. And there going to be two more versions at least made, and the fourth one is going to be something more finished and will have 3G inside. So basically this phone for users, not developers will be ready maybe in several years. They have a lot of work to do and that will take time. Until that you might forget OpenMoko.

But the LiMo looks promising and right now is in the first place if we would look at mobile Linux market. I think LiMo has already 22 or even more phones in the list. If I remember Purple Magic Phone is 3G phone and works super and still cost only 100$, but I don't know if it already available.

The Android Platform had to be the one to fight iPhone Mac OS system and it looks that it really stopped, but no one expected that. But because Google don't talk to developers many moved to iPhone already leaving Android platform. That's not a good sign. And with Apple Store help there are 60+ mln copies of mobile software in the wild per one month, that's really amazing.

This HTC Dream might be the only one who could at least not let Android Platform die.
Have you used their internet? I download a lot more than 3 GB or 10 GB and they don't do anything. This was a concern a month back, but they changed the plans to "unlimited", but everything else left the same on the page. So I don't know if they just forgot to update or what. But in real life they do nothing and you won't get any SMS or cut you the internet.
I am living in the middle of Europe, Lithuania. Here everything connected with mobile services are very check. We have here three main mobile service providers, only 3.4 million of people and 4-5 million of active SIM cards. Because we use it so much we pay very low. I don't pay for SMS in the same network, 3000 sms to all networks costs 1.5$ per week or is completely free and etc. So everything is just very cheap compared to such countries as USA.
Love this one and it has 3G inside. Because of 3G it should get very popular, unlimted data 7.2Mbps 3G internet costs 36$ per month.
I still can not decide between iPhone and Android, iPhone has very good hardware and OS and there is no doubt about that. While Android is very good designed, it is using Linux kernel, running Darvik virtual machine which is the same optimized Java machine, but there is nothing about the hardware. Will there be a phones with the same abilities as iPhone (of course there will be), but will it work so smooth as iPhone?

I will have to wait at least 6-9 months to get those answers. Damn, I already tried Android SDK and it's really amazing, while iPhone SDK has some cool tools when for optimizing applications. Dammit, can not find solution.
Am... I would not agree with a price thing. Just look at netbook market, the competition made everything worse, now most of them cost as standard laptop expect a few of them.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
