Eye-Fi launches Eye-Fi Home, Share, and geotagging Explore {Engadget}

May 12th 2008 2:30AM i was way excited to hear they are now including geo-tagging, but then i read that it would use skyhook's triangulization for the "geo-tagging." so basically the geo-tagging will hardly ever work? no thanks, give me real GPS geo-tagging!

Beta Beat: Aperture2Gmail 0.8 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Apr 11th 2008 11:57AM Aren't there plug-in's for both iPhoto and Aperture that will upload directly to Flickr? So why have the middle man? Or are they referring to the fact that some plug-ins that do this functionality cost money whereas this is "donationware." I'm kind of confused why anyone would want to go this route, is there an advantage to uploading via: email?

BusySync 2.0 Public Beta {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 5th 2008 11:38AM I blogged about my great experience with BusySync 2.0beta about a week ago. My review is pretty biased since I haven't used any of the other offerings. I was in the same position as a lot of you, was trying to stick it out and wait until there was a really good comparison post comparing gSync, Spanning Sync and BusySync. But basically what I experienced was a great set-and-forget-it solution that "just works."

Ask TUAW: Kernel panics, automatic filing of downloads, changing the boot icon and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 18th 2008 3:28PM I was wondering if someone could point me to a post or story somewhere online comparing and contrasting gSync, and SpanningSync. All the Open-Source iCal/Google Cal syncing solutions seem too experimental or difficult. Just when I thought I found a free alternative, with Plaxo, I heard that the site is a little shady when dealing with user's privacy.

Ask TUAW: Mac as WAP, limiting Time Machine, recording cable and more {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jan 16th 2008 9:59PM My question is pretty simple, but the answer is probably pretty complex. What is better, gSync, or SpanningSync? What are the known bugs for each? What are the advantages or disadvantages of SpanningSync having a middle-man server doing the communicating with Google's servers. I'd like to see a nice write up comparing the two. I've done a lot of googling and no one has seemed to really compare the two pretty in-depth. I'm willing to spend the higher price for SpanningSync if it is truly better! I'm asking you guys, because I'm assuming you guys have tried out both apps.

Thanks!
