The biggest problem with kindle is not the readers, but the unregulated ways publishers can make ebooks without hyperlinked table of contexts or indexes. Textbooks will not thrive until navigation in thousand page books start to improve and become standardized. Also, news flash, "search" doesn't work on my 2,000 page kindle version of a medicine text.
Anyone know of a coffee maker where the hot liquid never touches PLASTIC??? only stainless steel?

I dislike plastic and believe it leaches when heated.
U idiots. Isn't it obvious? Google sent them C+D letters and are submitting their own app. Just like blizzard did with the other armory apps.

Learn how the app busines works!
U quit for at least 3 months. Then you'll have time for working out. Meet new people. Date someone. You know things that are actually rewarding and don't feed the wow addiction. The only way is to cancel subscription. Don't try to not play when it is active. The addiction will make u sign on.
I heard blizzard is "abandoning magnificent bg titles" from a user comment on 3.1. Can you speak more on this?

Will my knight champion title still be there when I log in 3.1? If no, I'll quit wow, no seriously.
grind thorium brother hood dark iron ore. I'm sure you never finished that one when 60 was cap. I almost grinded up to the +22 intellect enchant which was a big recipe at the time.

Post the dang transcript. at work and can't use sound/audio.
I want a list of what each class can solo at what level.

Is there a wiki page for this anywhere?
your article/ post is flawed in many ways.

Psychiatrists and the DSM-IV do NOT use the word addiction, period. While there is a field within / subspeciality of medicine (think branch internal medicine - like a cardiologist), which is called Addiction Medicine. They have their own definition of what an "addiction is." But psychiatrists do not use the word. What do they use?

1) Abuse
2) Dependence

So I encourage everyone to look up the DSM-IV criteria of Abuse and Dependence of substances.

Interestingly, marijuana was previously only considered a psychological "addiction" (layman's term, more medical would be "psychological dependence") New research and expert opinion believe that there is biological reasons for "marijuana addiction." Will the dopamine reward pathway that is stimulated by things like Gambling and Video games have biological merit. Yes, these dependences exist. Is every biological minutia worked out? no.

So what is abuse?
quick google search:
http://www.sis.indiana.edu/DSM-IV-Criteria.aspx

1. Recurrent substance use resulting in a failure to fulfill major role obligations at work, school, or home (such as repeated absences or poor work performance related to substance use; substance-related absences, suspensions, or expulsions from school; or neglect of children or household).
2. Recurrent substance use in situations in which it is physically hazardous (such as driving an automobile or operating a machine when impaired by substance use)
3. Recurrent substance-related legal problems (such as arrests for substance related disorderly conduct)
4. Continued substance use despite having persistent or recurrent social or interpersonal problems caused or exacerbated by the effects of the substance (for example, arguments with spouse about consequences of intoxication and physical fights).

Probably can't get number 2, but you could get in repeated arguments with a loved one over your "too much Warcraft playing" or you could be late a lot to work because of that WoW raid that just didn't finish fast enough. And seeing how you only need 1 out of 4 for "abuse," many wow players could qualify for WoW Abuse.

Dependence is harder to qualify for. You need 3 out of 7.

1. Tolerance, as defined by either of the following: (a) A need for markedly increased amounts of the substance to achieve intoxication or the desired effect or (b) Markedly diminished effect with continued use of the same amount of the substance.
2. Withdrawal, as manifested by either of the following: (a) The characteristic withdrawal syndrome for the substance or (b) The same (or closely related) substance is taken to relieve or avoid withdrawal symptoms.
3. The substance is often taken in larger amounts or over a longer period than intended.
4. There is a persistent desire or unsuccessful efforts to cut down or control substance use.
5. A great deal of time is spent in activities necessary to obtain the substance, use the substance, or recover from its effects.
6. Important social, occupational, or recreational activities are given up or reduced because of substance use.
7. The substance use is continued despite knowledge of having a persistent physical or psychological problem that is likely to have been caused or exacerbated by the substance (for example, current cocaine use despite recognition of cocaine-induced depression or continued drinking despite recognition that an ulcer was made worse by alcohol consumption).

I'm not going to go step by step on this one, but think about this:
do you ever think about wow all day?
are you often out with friends and you are thinking about the Time Lost Proto-Drake possible spawn points, or how in the heck you'll get that Black Mamoth mount from Wintergrasp, or that new phat loot that you want to drop from such and such raid. Is that psychological withdrawl?

Do you ever have a type of psychological anxiety that is relieved after playing wow?

Is WoW self medication for other issues in your life?

Are you not dealing with the real world and escape to a fantasy world.

Does blizzard really hire Casino experts on how to make the reward system of the game more enticing?

It makes sense, the equation for getting people addicted for gambling has been perfected. It is something like random small rewards that keep the user playing more and more with the hope of a jackpot. Any relationship to WoW?

sorry for not the poor writing quality, just wanted to dump some thoughts on the topic.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
