FYI, In the about page it lists the version as: 4.0.684 ... unless my install is screwed.
Yay, more stuff to snap off of my laptop :)
"Zero" Smashing Pumpkins!
Burns in cabin, burns in hold ... still burns. What's the difference (a few HULD's aside)?

Stupid restriction.

Has there ever been a case of one burning on a plane?

Next thing you know you'll be having to use their 'proprietary' on-board system which does internet, movies, phone, music and games all for the cheap cheap price of $4.99 a minute :P
That head mounted on the robot is kinda creepy.
That thing's gonna rock in the next TV series of 'Robot Wars'.
1km range ... that'll work :P
I have a Tomtom GO 700, and it picks up traffic info in the US via Bluetooth through my T-Mobile phone's internet connection just fine ... so I can't imagine why the 900 wouldn't do it.

If you're using T-Mobile you need to get the "T-Mobile Internet" $19.99 package. Having just the "T-MobileWeb" $5.99 won't let you get any downloads, incl traffic updates.

Tomtom does need to update the POI and street database though ... it's at least 5 years old.

The other thing that bugs me is you can't search through all the POI categories at once. So if your looking for something you first have to know what catergory it falls under. Does a stadium fall under the 'Sports' category, or could it fall under the 'Convention Center' category?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What is the best wireless surround sound speaker solution? I have a home theater where running wires is just not feasible. I have my own speakers, so I don't want a system that has speakers with integrated wireless. I've done a far amount of research and have only come across a few companies that even offer a reasonable solution: KEF, Kenwood and Rocketfish. Is there anything else out there? What do you recommend? Thank you!"
