I recently upgraded my DSC-T5 to a T90. It's a nice upgrade. There's a big difference between the pictures, the T90 takes more crispier pictures, and takes better low light pictures. There's a lot of detail lost from the NR stuff, but the pictures a re still clear.
why no piano black???? WHY NO PIANO BLACK????
Have to go with Canon instead of Sony, I own a 40D and have to say that the quality is excellent, plus you can get a great selection of glass. You can get expensive, cheap 3rd party, second hand etc..

Sony's cameras may cost about the same as canon's but I've noticed the glass costs a lot more especially when you look at the higher end stuff.
holla back from hong kong
I'm hoping to purchase one of these, but I want decent specs with decent price. I dont' see the point of desktop power on a UMPC since the whole experience is different. Mostly going to do quick and usueful stuff on it, use it as a pda, quickly adjust some photos, make notes, use google maps, e-mail on the go. I don't expect music on it, I do expect to be able to edit a document, spreadsheet on it though but nothing fancy...no photoshop, or movie editing...

the specs seem great on it so far, and I am considering buying this or a sony ux, but the battery life neeeeeeeeeeds to improve...
No T-Mobile please, I'm in Hong Kong FFS
gimme gimme!
I'm in the same position as you, and have done my research. I've decided on a Canon 400D, and I recommended you either go for a Canon 400D or a Nikon D40x. They both have similiar features, and decent lenses. As a beginner you won't really need more than it's feature set and you're better off spending the extra money on buying slightly better lenses than the one that comes with the lens kit (get the body only btw).
Reviews will tell you everything about that product but they don't consider everything:

Do you know any other canon/nikon/pentax/sony/olympus users? You can share lenses with them if you do, and that itself is a big reason to get it
Can you get those lenses in your area easily when you want it. I don't think buying online is a good idea, I've been told try before you buy when it comes to lenses. Also I'm in Hong Kong and quite a few sony lenes are just "out of stock" atm at the sony stores.
Lens from canon and nikon which are good quality have a decent resell value. I don't think you'll find many users for sony/minolta lenses.
Lasty pick up and try out the camera, hold it in your hands, give it a squeeze. Size and erognomics play a big part when it comes to cameras. It is a deciding factor

Hope you get one soon and take lotsa pics.

"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
