I liked this review! I would use this to play music at the gym and not have to recharge it afterwards
my favorite post was when you guys had that goodbye post to Ryan Block and your recent interview with Jimmy Fallon at CES and of course your coverage of the iPhone when it first came out =)
this would be great if i got it!
Very beautiful. can't wait to get them. It's about time Seagate!
I think it's really viable for Seagate to buy out Sandisk as its the cheapest and the company IS intending to buy out a company by the end of this year.
I wouldn't get WD if I were you. Sure they have great marketing and all, but quality wise, WD is the worst when compared to Seagates or Lacies.

If you want to get a backup get Maxtor's (owned by Seagate now) Blackarmor series that automatically backup and features automatic encryption certified by the govt.

nell from advance wars mmm
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
