Harmony = (R)egistered Trademark.

Yep - there are hundreds of "HARMONY" tradmarks around the world. For what has Logitech registered their trademarked use?

"Audio devices, namely, headsets, speakers, headphones and other electronic devices, namely, remote controls, cursor controllers, personal digital assistants, MP3 players, audio transmitters and receivers" (Serial Number 78751617)

Tranquil has nothing to worry about.
One parting comment....

I've had a dozen emails from people enquiring about the GPS cradle for this thing (shown in the GottaBeMobile video review)

Only place I've seen them is on eBay - direct from the developer - see http://tinyurl.com/2v6y3j
HSDPA, over bluetooth via my K800i mobile, is enough for me. Here in Australia, mobile data services are still as expensive as all hell (eg 1GB for $29.95 per month) so extensive mobile data use is kind of out of the question.

Open WiFi access points are a different matter.
The U810 is now available in the USA (thanks, Google!) - check out http://store.shopfujitsu.com/fpc/Ecommerce/buildseriesbean.do?series=U810. A few interesting differences, however, to the unit which I purchased.

-- US version comes with a 1-year int'l warranty instead of a 2-year int'l warranty;
-- US version ships with the 4-cell, not 2-cell battery;
-- There's a USD100 difference between Home Premium and Business operating system instead of AUD50 / USD42 difference here
-- Official accessories (eg dock) have parity pricing
-- US Vista Home version ships with Microsoft Works for some reason. Bloat-a-rama!
The Asia-Pacific release includes a 2-cell battery which is good for around 3hrs. The North American release unit will ship with the 4-cell 'extended' battery which is good for 5-6 hours (but makes the unit a bit of a chubby beast)
There is a great photo of a U1010/U810 on the net. It is sitting atop a Dell XPS M2010 (20.1" monster) notebook. The caption is "Spot the UMPC". Hehehehe.
Guys... a few comments from the U1010 owner with the pix (me):

Prior to making my latest gadget purchase I looked everywhere to find a COMPLETE list of what was in the Fujitsu Lifebook U810/U1010 box. The few "unboxing" videos on Youtube were either for pre-production or limited release versions. Couldn't find a complete set of photos anywhere to determine the inclusions.

Solution to the problem? Just plonk down the AUD1700.00 (USD1420.00) to buy one; take it home; whip out the K800i and take some happy snaps.

A few quick notes/observations:

- Some of the early reviews (eg http://www.gottabemobile.com/HardwareInkShowFujitsuU1010.aspx) show the U1010 with a nice leather flip case. Unfortunately, the Asia-Pacific model ships with a cheap'n'cheerful neoprene slip case

- WiFi radio sensitivity is nothing short of remarkable (twice the gain of my Asus W7J), picking up a number of access points near home that I'd never seen before. So it's a shame the Atheros chipset it uses isn't supported by NetStumbler

- Much has been made about the size of the keyboard. It *IS* bloody small, but the learning curve and general useability is nowhere as bad as some reviewers have made out.

- The screen is gorgeous - so vibrant and razor sharp. The LED backlighting is super-smooth.

- Real-world battery life is around 2hrs 25min (75% brightness, 80% CPU, Office applications/web browsing over wifi) from the included 2-cell battery. Biggest juice-pig seems to be the Bluetooth module - a one hour session connected to a 3G data service via my K800i drained the battery to under 50% capacity.

- The "little touches" demonstrate the thought Fujitsu's designers put into this eg extendable stylus; onboard keyboard lighting (which works almost as well as the 'Thinklight' in my trusty IBM Thinkpad R40)

- Unbox it - turn off the Aero effects and any unwanted services - and it really does scream along.

- Just a note on the "stickers thing" - they love defacing Aussie PCs with stickers galore, too. You should have seen that Asus 13" notebook when I first opened it - PLASTERED in 'feature' stickers.

If anyone has any questions about the unit just shout (or drop me an email derek@clubduh.com)
WHo0o0o0o! A non US-only competition. Don't forget your loyal Australian underlings (well, me, anyway!). As with most things tech-based, we'll take whatever we can get. ;-)
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
