"large *hardon* collider"? Really???
@Mycrosoft

Underused??? Have you ever BEEN to a national park?? Trying going to the Grand Canyon or Shenandoah, or Acadia, or Yellowstone, or ANYWHERE. If anything, many of the parks have more people passing through them than they can really handle.
It's the likes of Samsung and the makers of the components that sink the money into R&D, not Apple. Apparently, Samsung and other component makers can recoup the costs of that R&D with much lower prices, since the prices for these components are so much lower. Sure, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, but 28% greater?
Good for you. However, there are still far too many places in this country where people are stuck with either satellite or dial-up. This should not be. The government once acted to see that phone access was available throughout the country, and in this day and age, it makes sense to do the same with what has become a basic level of internet access.
The presence or lack of a keyboard has nothing to do with the ability to upgrade the software. The iPhone could have had a physical keyboard, and that would not have precluded these updates. Maybe you like the lack of a keyboard, and that's fine, but it really isn't related to the adaptability of the software.
Lame. Show some balls, Amazon.
One of the best posts ever to grace Engadget. Kudos.
I would love an S9!!!
Engadget -- get over yourself. Unless you cut the offensive comments from the Storm post, there isn't really anything there that is too terrible. I've seen much worse on this site. Posting a general scolding to your readership is a little bizarre -- especially given the nature of the supposedly offending post. I could handle all the Apple posts, and all the ludicrous comments. That's why we vote people up and down. But this patronizing BS is something else entirely.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
