Because as any conservative will tell you, there's no such thing as torture. ::roll eyes::
Actually, yes companies regularly do compensate families. Most recent example in the U.S. is USAir paying thousands to the passengers on flight 1549 even though it sure wasn't the airline's fault that geese happened to be in their plane's flightpath. It sure *was* the airline's doing to have an excellent pilot in the cockpit who saved everyone's lives, but the airline paid out anyway.
I'm not saying this necessarily has anything to do with Foxconn, but it does answer your specific question.
MadMike is a troll, but I'll quickly bite: Obama got the banks to cease foreclosures, is giving each taxpayer $400 credit, and implemented large credits for car purchases. And he did it all in 20 days, not 100. So maybe it's YOU who's full of it?
How long until Sirius/XM channels disappear from Dish Network, given that their competitor just bought in?
That's "President Obama" to you. Or were you raised in a barn and never taught any manners?
I call shenanigans. Cite ONE (yes, just one) instance of CNN calling his presidency "flawless". Or are you making a straw-man argument? Thought so.
@Fred: What's the weather like up in your ivory tower? You seem to have no clue that there's still a decent % of Americans that not only don't have high speed broadband (I'm one of them) but CANNOT GET IT. Broadcast is their only way of getting TV, let along HDTV. So take your anti-broadcast attitude somewhere else, preferably to a location where you can see reality.
The $79 isn't the ridiculous part. The not working with the iPhone is the batshit ridiculous part. I usually defend Apple but I can't find a leg to stand on to do so in this case.
The article says it's 8Gb.
I'll only do it if they guarantee it will NOT be supplied with a Microsoft OS. I refuse to spread Windows around the world. Seriously.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
