Ugh. Damn commenting system. Was reply to Shaka above.
They will. It'll only be a matter of time.

My guess is that a phone isn't quite powerful enough to handle the chip, and it probably still takes up too much real estate at the moment.

Other things I'd like to see this in: cameras, camcorders, pmps, portable gaming system (PSP/DS).
Human slavery existed long before the British colonies, heck, long before the Saxons settled on the British Isles.
@mcatrage: They could call it Peekshow.
Grubby fat American hands.
Otherwise, they'd leave the asian guy in.
That's a lot of stuff.
Note that Sprint is on CDMA, while AT&T is on GSM. While it doesn't matter for those who stay within one country, the benefits of GSM shine when constantly switching networks. With a GSM phone, I can pop a cheapo local prepaid SIM card into an unlocked phone and talk at local rates for international calls. With a CDMA phone, I need to call my carrier to have them enable the ability to call globally and at extremely expensive roaming rates.

I know you're trying to compare the Pre with the iPhone which isn't unlocked by default, but personally, CDMA is a dealbreaker for me be it Sprint or Verizon.

That having been said, I might just pick up the GSM version of the Pre when that's out.
Not quite. It's more like, they love anything Apple, and since Apple is using capacitive touch screens for the iPhone and iPod Touch, it absolutely has to be superior whatsoever, period, la la la I can't hear you la la la.

It boils down to a simple tautology:

If Apple is using the technology -> good
and
If Apple is not using the technology -> bad

Don't believe me? See the headline for the Sansa Clip+:
http://www.engadget.com/2009/08/31/sandisk-makes-room-for-unwanted-slotmusic-cards-in-new-sansa-cli/

Note "unwanted" and "slotmusic" and other negative connotations in the headline, when Sandisk added general microSDHC support. If it had been the iPhone, Engadget would've written something like, "Apple adds microSDHC support to iPhone! App lovers rejoice!" Or something like that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
