This does absolutely nothing for me. If anything, it may make matters worse by keeping everybody in suspense. It may draw up more people to the Apple store only to waste their time since Apple rarely, if ever, discounts their stuff. And free shipping? Who's not doing that these days. Nice of them to do but barely enough to impress me.

Want to impress me Apple? How about selling more Mac Pro options at your stores than what you currently do? I mean, Apple only sells the 2.66 Quad and 2.26 Octo in basic config. Why not also the 2.66 Octo and 2.93 Quad? If at least in limited quantities? Or at least doing like many brick and mortar/e-tailers do out there which is allowing one to place an order online and then picking it up at the store like the next day for free?
