This does absolutely nothing for me. If anything, it may make matters worse by keeping everybody in suspense. It may draw up more people to the Apple store only to waste their time since Apple rarely, if ever, discounts their stuff. And free shipping? Who's not doing that these days. Nice of them to do but barely enough to impress me.

Want to impress me Apple? How about selling more Mac Pro options at your stores than what you currently do? I mean, Apple only sells the 2.66 Quad and 2.26 Octo in basic config. Why not also the 2.66 Octo and 2.93 Quad? If at least in limited quantities? Or at least doing like many brick and mortar/e-tailers do out there which is allowing one to place an order online and then picking it up at the store like the next day for free? Don't play games with us Apple!
I hope Sarah sues the hell out of Newsweek. They will go down to the lowest gutter and suck on it in order to discredit any non-Liberal, communist leader or figure! Sue Sarah. Please!!!
Why the tough love Engadget? I thought we were in a global recession. I see we still have people willing to pay excessively for these social icons. I bet the same people that buy these are the ones that are telling me that I need to lower my carbon footprint!
You mean the 3.5 megapixel with MP4 file playback compatibility for $19.99 and free 3 week shipping?
Huh? Is that 35mm as in 35 million megapixels or something? Seriously, is 35mm film still being produced anymore?
I thought the world was in a recession/depression?!?
So Josh,

Will you be taking this new iPod Touch to that Fallon show? Or is Engadget show up and running soon?
Original PSP was about the best video game machine investment I've made in a long time. Funny thing is, I haven't used that UMD drive in over 2 years. Gotta love hackers!
A show about Commodore computers -- the C64 to be exact. Get your facts straight buddy.
All this talk about how right the DMCA is driving me nuts. It's purpose, I could see, was to protect copyrighted material and rightfully so. The problem is that this shitty government we have only goes after the little guys. Why not chase after the corporate crooks in countries like China that reverse engineer stuff and copy it flat out? They then make tons of money by selling the knock offs. Oh, wait, China is a lot bigger than one geek in the US? We owe China our soul so can't be mean to them anymore? Oh, okay then. I hate the US Government!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
