Ask Engadget: Which are the best full-size headphones? {Engadget}

May 2nd 2008 5:56PM I recommend the Beyerdynamic Dt990 Pros. You can get them at MacMall for 189.99. They say they are not is stock but I orderded mine a few weeks ago and got them in about a week.

I own some of the best headphones out there the AKG K701, Sennheiser 650s, and these are my favorite and the others cost $300-$500. They have great bass response, great sound stage, and excellent highs.

But do yourself a favor and get a good headphone amp for any headphones you buy.
