iPhone Firmware 2.0.2 is available {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 19th 2008 4:52AM Hmm... decisions. I only jailbroke 2.0.1 about a week ago. Seems I've had to do a reinstall every week since I've owned the thing LOL. And we know how long those take...
Now that I've finally got tethering working right, I may want to stay jailbroken. I had no idea what people were talking about with "3G problems" as I'd been working in the Boston area since I bought the phone. Just came home to NYC yesterday and the 3G has hardly been working at all. Maybe this is it, or something else. I don't know, but it's pissing me off, and if an update fixes it, that's better than tethering. Tethering's no good anyway if you don't have a signal.

Apple to add iPhone notes syncing to Mail.app? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 15th 2008 1:09PM They might as well have added it. Nothing they added works right, anyway, so we'd still have come out ahead.
Fire at Cupertino campus {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 13th 2008 7:29PM Well if we find out no one was in the building at the time of the fire, we'll know it was the MobileMe customer service center.
Turn your change into apps {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 12th 2008 12:30AM Wow, TUAW, you got this tip out in the nick of time. My summer gig is ending and before going home I always swap out all the change I've accumulated over the past 3 months in the Coinstar at the local supermarket. I was literally going to go tomorrow. Thanks for helping me save a little cash for some fun apps!
Found Footage: 'I Am Rich' walk through {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 9th 2008 10:56PM I just don't want Apple to reject apps for any reason other than them being illegal or harmful to my iPhone. They are the only official source for apps, and as such it's really not a good idea for them to be limiting the selection based on their own opinions of what millions of individuals might wish to buy. I think those apps where you can pour a pint of beer are useless, but I don't think it's my place or anyone else's to say that someone can't spend $2 on it if they want.
iPhone 2.0.1 firmware out for iPhone and iPod touch {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 5th 2008 12:52AM Will it be OK if I update this over my jailbroken 2.0 phone? I don't care if it re-jails it, as I haven't been able to do anything very useful with the jailbreak yet anyway. Just want to make sure I don't need to do something to prepare it to flash back to an authorized firmware.
What happened to NetShare? - UPDATED {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Aug 1st 2008 12:04PM Did it work only for internet browsing, or also for other apps like Mail, iChat, etc.? The flaw with the SOCKS proxy method via jailbreak seems to be that it only works for a browser.
I just wish AT&T would let us tether. Keep the same cap on bandwidth, make us pay for it if necessary, but just give the option for people who need it.
Are iPhone 3Gs developing cracks? {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 30th 2008 12:20PM I have the black one so it's hard to tell if it has cracks. But even if it did, I'd still rather have a cracked iPhone 3G than a non-cracked anything else. I have been waiting so long to get away from Palm and WinMo, I don't care if I have to hold it together with bubble gum and duct tape.
Downgrading 2.1 iPhones not as daunting as originally thought {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 28th 2008 5:32PM "I found it much better with regards to Apple's applications (mail, sms, safari, etc) and phone operation."
Are you talking about added features or just reliability and "snappiness"? I think especially Mail and Safari are missing some obvious features (sending from aliases and open in new tab, to name a couple).
