It took you "geniuses" long enough to figure that people want to know the storage on a device without actually powering it on.
"over half the users who played Gears of War 2 so far do not have HDTVs,"

Isn't that the same thing Nintendo predicted before launching the Wii? I guess they do have some idea after all.

Motion Controls are good when done correctly. I am impressed by Tiger Woods with Motion+. Wii Waggle ain't that fun. If done in moderation motion can make a game far more immersive. Will that be the case with Natal? It's possible. I really don't see myself pulling of actual round houses when playing SF4 for an hour. Image how tiresome that would be. Developers have had some experience with what works with motion controls. By the time Natal and Sony's stuff rolls around, they will have an even better idea (from time developing on the Wii). I know MS has made a habit of over promising and under delivering (Vista, ME, etc etc etc) but I suspect Natal will be good hardware wise. It's left to developers' imaginations to make it work.
Am I the only one bothered with the possibility that some bored teenage twit may be able to shut down my car once he hacks into Onstar's system? First amazon with their kindle fiasco and now this. What next? Tracker implants?
Interesting the way Sony guy was so quick to bash the Wiimote but he totally sidestepped the WiiMotion + question. If any of you fannies can read between the lines that seems to me that the motion + aint that bad compared to Sony.
Its apparent that most folk here didn't take the time to do any research on the MotionPlus accessory. The accessory is not mandatory for any of the announced games (not sure about Wii Resort). So no it would not segment the market at all as a regular wiimote would do. It serves to enhance the gaming experience. Yes it would've been nice if this were available from the get go, but I suspect technical/costs issues prevented taht.

For you people knocking on the Wii for its lack of graphical horsepower. You really need to realise that you "hardcore" gamers aren't the only game in town. Incidentally, developers earn significant revenue on games like Bejeweled and the like. Not exactly graphical powerhouse. Yes I own a Wii and a 360. I have just packed away the 360 to focus on some Wii gaming. No I'm not a granny or what you trolls claim through your sheer brilliance is the Wii demographic. A good game is a good game regardless of the visuals.
Anyone has experience with using El Gato's products to hook up a console (Wii or 360) to your mac? ANy insight would be useful.
I live in St. Lucia. That's in the Eastern Caribbean. I have one myself. In the circle of people I know, there are at least 5 others with the phone.
Anything to screw the 360 over is a good thing. A buddy of mine had 3 ring of death systems. The first after a year. The second after some weeks. And third one out of the box. One he actually purchased. Two were given as gifts. He called up the 360 repair line. They sent boxes out for all systems. Weeks later they called him up asking for receipts for the systems otherwise they would not be fixed.

Who the eff gives a receipt with a gift? Now he has one working 360 and 2 faulty ones being sent back to him. Go figure. I support your efforts to screw them over for the little guy.
I'm with you on this Wilder. Just a simple input to all you to use your iMac as an HD screen for your consoles. Miglia is a competitor to El Gato and I have been on their forums trying to reason with the company to give us such a solution. Maybe you should join the crusade.
Apple is going mad with power.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
