I used to live in Black Hawk County! Go Panthers!
I was thinking the same thing. The closest I'm probably ever going to get to a VA wifi-enabled flight is when it zooms over Des Moines. :-(
"The Fairness in Hell Act of 2275 requires me to inform you that if you can best me in a fiddle contest, you win back Bender's soul. As well as a golden fiddle."
Texting/data ought to be allowed. Yakking on your cellphone, however, ought to be punishable by summary execution. Fair enough?
OK, I'm glad to hear that. I've tried it like three or four times now and all it does is make Safari hang (not crash) and after a couple of minutes the phone turns itself off like it normally does.
Have you plugged in headphones? I've had a problem every now and then where the iPhone doesn't "know" I've unplugged the headphones. It turns off the receiver and the microphone, making it seem like the phone is broken. The "fix" is to plug and unplug the headphones a number of times. Stupid, I know, but it works.
MegaZone: does TiVo have listings for Canadian cable systems? It requires a US ZIP code when you set it up. And while Canadian cable systems may not use CableCard, their OTA networks broadcast ATSC, same as US networks.
In fact, I don't use CableCard with my TiVo HD. My cable company's HD offerings are totally lame, and there's nothing on digital cable I can't live without, but I can get all the local networks in HD. About the only thing I'm missing out on is Discovery HD.
Yep, MRV is working for me already; TiVo's site isn't yet up-to-date. Also, in "Manage My Account" you can now enable transfers for TiVo HD units. Mine was enabled by default.
Well I don't piss away that much money every weekend. In fact, I'd been saving my pennies since January so I could get one on launch day. I feel completely betrayed, and I've owned Macs, iPods and all other sorts of Apple products for over five years now.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
