Rule 1 of buying anything from Apple. NEVER BUY ANY APPLE PRODUCT WITHIN A MONTH OF AN APPLE ANOUNCEMENT. I bought an airport express and an extreme a few days ago, and even I thought that was silly but hey, I'm lucky that they weren't replaced wiht some new kickass products and I new their features were all I needed.
Yes you are cool, you'll own one of the few ever produced 4GB apple iphones, I'd hold onto that, it'll be a rareity one day!
Put your Daddy's money back in your pocket Jon. I think $400 actually does make it affordable especially as i won't end up stuck in some dumb ass AT&T contract for buying one now there are work arounds available. Hope you enjoyed shoing off for all the time you had yours, I'm sure it was worth the extra cash for you.
Gizmodo failed to work for me YET AGAIN. I'm sticking with Engadget, their livelog thing still needs the kinks worked out of it,I had to use dial-up today and Engadget worked fine, speedy even whilst Gizmodo's refused even to open properly.
"Those that bought the 8GB model in July: pwnt"
THAT'S NOT FUNNY!

Ah, no, sorry, you got it right, that is funny! way to put up with all the bugs and waiting for it to be cracked rather than waiting for the price job and it to be properly opened up and decent apps become available. I will now be ordering one off ebay after this price break has filtered through ready to crack for use in the UK.
That's the only one that get's away with the fatness in my opinion. Black always was slimming, this time it appears to have worked on the black clickwheel tummy to make that one look sleek whilst.
Wow, a $200 iphone reduction already. My mate ordered one for $570 the other day from ebay, he's gonna be pissed.

Why can't you use edge for downloading tunes? Who cares if its slow, sometimes you're on a really long journey, 5 minutes to donload a tune is gonna seem pretty reasonable. Oh I see, AT&T couldn't possibly handle that much bandwidth so it's not an option, brilliant way to cripple what otherwise might be quite a good feature.

Cobranding with starbucks, I've just gotten onto the apple bandwagon as i really like OSX and was starting to think it was cool, but cobranding with starbucks!?! Seriously who drinks that stuff and likes that image. I don't want a McIphone with a skinny late all wrapped up in MTV garb, I like to make my own decisions of what to listen to, what coffee to drink and how and where i get my music from. Onward to the death of DRM.

Plus, (I know I'll get shot for this one but), still no OGG Vorbis. Damn you Steve, Damn you straight to the depths of Starbucks.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
